Radiofrequency Microneedling
with Morpheus8
The Morpheus8 Radiofrequency Microneedling treatment is a non-invasive treatment that provides effective facial and body reconstruction by stimulating collagen production to aid in resurfacing and subdermal tissue renewal. It combines the benefits of traditional microneedling with radio frequency energy to heat the dermal and subcutaneous tissue thereby ablating and coagulating fat cells. Morpheus 8 can be used to tighten loose skin and reduce small amounts of unwanted fat, with minimal downtime. This makes it a popular option for treating fine lines (such as crows feet or smokers lines), and tightening the appearance of sagging cheeks, or improving the appearance of the neck, chin and jawline. It’s also an excellent choice for skin resurfacing- improving texture and acne scarring.
Under topical anesthesia, the silicone covered micro-needles penetrate below the skin to deliver a pulse of radio frequency, leaving the skin looking lifted, rejuvenated and more youthful.
The Morpheus8 can be used on any external body part but commonly treated sites include the face, neck, abdomen, underarms, thighs, buttocks and vulva. Unlike traditional micro needling, Morpheus 8 can be used on active acne and is effective in treating both acne scarring and active acne! Results can begin to be noticed days after the first Morpheus8 treatment with the most noticeable improvement seen after 1-2 monthly. Up to 3 treatments, spaced 4-8 weeks apart, may be required for optimal results.
How to prepare for your Morpheus8 appointment:
discontinue use of topical products that increase skin sensitivity (retinoids, exfoliants, acids, topical antibiotics or benzoyl peroxide) 5-7 days before your treatment
No unprotected sun exposure, laser, IPL or cosmetic injectables for 2 weeks before microneedling
avoid anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil, Motrin or ibuprofen for 3 days before microneedling as they interfere with the natural inflammatory process which is crucial for skin rejuvenation after microneedling
