Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injectable gels designed to refresh your appearance and provide a more rested, youthful look. These fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your body, which combines with the water in your skin to gently restore lost fullness, smooth out lines, diminish the appearance of wrinkles, and subtly enhance lips. With dermal fillers, you can look as young as you feel.
The smooth formulations offer results that look and feel very natural. Recovery time is quick, and most treatments only take 15-30 minutes per appointment! Dermal fillers are clinically proven to be well tolerated by patients and provide some of the longest-lasting results on the market today.

Cosmetic Injectables FAQ:
+ Are Neurotoxins and Fillers safe?
Yes! Neurotoxins and dermal fillers have been thoroughly researched (more than 4,000 studies) & clinically used for over 20 years and are approved by both the HPB (Health Protection Branch of Canada) and the FDA. More than 20 million procedures have been performed since 2001.
Botox, Nuceiva and Dysport are all derived from the same main ingredient, botulinum toxin A, which is extracted from a bacteria and refined into a medicine. Similar to how penicillin is made, Botox® is a medicine that has been safely used for many years. It is used on children as young as 2 years old to treat cerebral palsy. These young children receive up to 6 TIMES an average cosmetic dose & receive this treatment every 3-4 months.
+ What does the treatment involve?
While there is no real downtime associated with this treatment, it is important to note that you may encounter some slight bruising and swelling directly after treatment due to the needle.
What are fillers and how do they work? As we age, the natural collagen and elastin in the skin decreases, as cells lose their ability to produce their youthful components. The skin becomes dryer, thinner, and less regenerative. When we are born we have plentiful amounts of hyaluronic acid in our body, but as we get older this store of hyaluronic acid diminishes, leaving the skin less supported causing lines and wrinkles develop. By lifting and smoothing targeted folds and wrinkles by adding subtle volume, dermal fillers can make a difference to a person’s appearance, giving them a fresher look.
The treatment of wrinkles and skin laxity with dermal filler will usually involve injecting this naturally occurring product through a tiny needle. The discomfort is minimal as the treatment does not take long to perform. The aesthetic outcomes of treatments with dermal filler are seen immediately after the treatment. Treating wrinkles with dermal filler is fast and leaves no scars. Fillers can be used to treat a wide range of concerns and areas, from fine lines on more delicate parts of the face to deep skin depressions.
+ Does the injection hurt?
The amount of discomfort varies from client to client. The treatment area may be numbed using a topical agent prior to the injection to minimize any discomfort you may feel. We use the same size of needle that is used by diabetics for insulin injections.
