Microdermabrasion

Advanced diamond tipped microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a painless form of physical exfoliation performed with a small handheld device, using a combination of gentle suction and abrasive crystals. This treatment is suitable for all skin types and tones. Exfoliation is needed for getting rid of the dead skin cells on the surface layer of your skin. and encouraging the production of fresh, new skin cells. This results in a fresher, healthier appearance due to the increased cellular turnover rate.

Microdermabrasion is NOT the same as dermabrasion. With microdermabrasion, there is no pain and much less downtime.

Preparing for your appointment:

Discontinue retinols, bleaching creams, depilatory creams, acids and astringents 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Avoid waxing in the treatment area for 1 week before and after.

Note that microdermabrasion cannot be performed if you have been on Accutane in the past 6 months. It also should not be performed if you have recieved cosmetic injectables in the previous 2 weeks.

Aftercare:

Avoid sweating for 24 hours, wear SPF for the next week at least, no retinols or exfoliants for at least 3 days.

Microdermabrasion provides improvement for skin concerns such as dull skin tone, clogged pores, fine lines, blemishes, resultant scarring, stretch marks, age spots, and sun damage. By removing the buildup of dead skin cells, the overall condition of the skin is improved. You can also enjoy a smoother texture of the skin, as well as increased absorption of topical products after this treatment..

What is the difference between the Microdermabrasion Facial and the Express Microdermabrasion?

The Express Microdermabrasion only includes cleansing, Microdermabrasion, and moisturizing, whereas the Microdermabrasion Facial also includes a facial steam and a soothing, hydrating jelly mask
